Eastward Journey to Neuss and Kaarst
In a bid to tap into potential opportunities for increasing prosperity, a Japanese economic delegation recently visited Rhein-Kreis Neuss, an internationally-oriented economic hub in Germany. The visit was facilitated by Jetro Düsseldorf and Kreiswirtschaftsförderung, and was aimed at deepening networking with local businesses.
Martin Stiller, Economic Director of Rhein-Kreis Neuss, considers Japan an important partner. He believes that growing investment and trade relations between Japan and Rhein-Kreis Neuss hold potential for increasing and securing prosperity. This sentiment is shared by Robert Abts, head of Kreiswirtschaftsförderung, who has emphasized the intention to strengthen cooperation with Ota City, Japan, and work towards new settlements and cooperation initiatives between Japanese companies and local businesses.
The potential for collaboration between Ota City and Rhein-Kreis Neuss is based on their similar economic and socio-economic structures. A joint event promoting mutual investments for SMEs and start-ups was held in late 2022 at Haneda Innovation City, a trade and business complex near Japan's largest airport.
During their visit, the Japanese delegation had the opportunity to tour several local companies. Johanna Mehring, an Economic Promoter, accompanied the delegation to Pre-Wa-Tec in Rommerskirchen, AES motomation in Kaarst, and IKEGAMI in Neuss. The purpose of these visits was to explore potential synergies and create additional value for the location of Rhein-Kreis Neuss, benefiting its citizens.
As of now, there are no available search results that provide information on the current cooperation initiatives or potential benefits between Ota City and Rhein-Kreis Neuss. However, the visits mark a significant step towards strengthening economic ties between the two regions, and the potential for future collaborations remains promising.
The Japanese delegation, during their visit to Rhein-Kreis Neuss, expressed interest in collaborating with local businesses on other technology solutions, as both regions share similar economic structures. In line with this, Robert Abts, head of Kreiswirtschaftsförderung, has expressed plans to explore cooperation opportunities in this area, intending to foster new partnerships and technology-driven initiatives between Japanese companies and Rhein-Kreis Neuss.
