Dubai Launches New Workforce Productivity System to Boost Government Efficiency

Dubai has launched a new Workforce Productivity Measurement System, aiming to boost efficiency across government entities. The system is mandated by a resolution issued by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council.

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) will oversee the system's management and monitoring. They will also prepare a procedural guide for its implementation and develop productivity indicators. The Dubai Digital Authority will provide technical support, including expertise for the digital platform, data analysis tools, and system integrations.

The system will be rolled out in phases, starting with an assessment of productivity based on services delivered against workforce size, salaries, working hours, and other data. All government entities are required to follow the procedural guide, provide accurate workforce and budget data, and implement initiatives to enhance productivity and financial efficiency.

The new system takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette, nullifying any conflicting provisions. The General Secretariat of The Executive Council will oversee the classification and updating of government services and provide technical support. Dubai aims to enhance service delivery and financial efficiency through this innovative approach.
