DIY Balcony Solar: Recycle, Power Up
The Environmental and Climate Protection Agency, in collaboration with RuesselsheimZero, BUND, and Energiewende e.V., is hosting a unique workshop on installing balcony solar systems using recycled solar panels. The event aims to empower individuals to actively contribute to the energy transition.
The workshop, scheduled for Am Treff 11, offers participants the chance to assemble a small solar power plant for their balconies using still functional, used solar panels. Under expert guidance, attendees will receive a complete material package, including two used solar panels, an inverter, and all necessary cables and connectors, for a fee of 120 euros.
In addition to the practical assembly, the workshop will also provide theoretical basics. This includes understanding the technical requirements and legal framework conditions for the use of balcony solar panels. Those interested in merely learning about the process can attend for free, but registration is required by the 14th of October via email to [email protected] due to limited participant numbers.
The goal of the event is to give individuals the opportunity to build their own balcony solar panels using recycled solar panels, thus promoting active participation in the solar energy transition.
