Disney+ Expands Content, Revamps User Experience in UK
Disney+ is set to expand its content and revamp its user experience in the UK. The streaming service, which launched five years ago, will now include most shows currently on Hulu in the US, available under the Hulu tile. This change comes alongside a price increase in multiple regions and a redesign of the Disney+ experience.
The revamped Disney+ will launch on 8 October 2025, bringing Hulu to the UK and other global regions. The redesign includes a cleaner homescreen with a larger area to showcase individual shows. The new layout will feature six brands on the homepage: Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, National Geographic, and Hulu, replacing the current Star tile with Hulu.
The expansion of content beyond Disney movies, Star Wars, and the MCU was already underway in the UK, with programming from local broadcasters such as ITV and Channel 4. However, the addition of Hulu's extensive library will significantly enhance the service's offerings.
Disney+ is preparing for a major update on 8 October 2025. The launch of Hulu in the UK and other regions, along with the redesign of the Disney+ experience, aims to provide users with a more diverse range of content and an improved streaming experience. The price increase in multiple regions suggests that Disney is investing in expanding its services to meet growing consumer demand.
