DeWalt's 60V MAX Electric Mower Rivals Gas Power in Performance and Durability

DeWalt has launched its 60V MAX 21-inch Brushless Cordless RWD Self-Propelled Lawn Mower, a powerful electric model that rivals gas mowers in performance and durability. The mower comes equipped with two removable DeWalt FLEXVOLT battery packs, providing up to 85 minutes of runtime. This is a significant improvement from the first cordless mowers in the 1980s, which used lead-acid batteries. The 60V MAX features a robust steel cutting deck, dual 21-inch blades, and offers three clipping options: mulching, side discharge, or bagging. It also boasts six cutting height settings and a cutting load meter to monitor motor usage. For low light mowing, the mower has dual LED headlights and an LED dashboard that displays driving modes. Today's electric mowers, like this one, have evolved to match the power and ruggedness of gas mowers, thanks to advancements in lithium-ion batteries since the early 2000s. Electric mowers have several advantages over their gas counterparts. They are quieter, easier to operate, and have lower fuel and maintenance costs. Corded electric lawn mowers have been available since the 1930s, but the introduction of cordless models in the 1980s and the improvement of battery technology have made them increasingly popular. DeWalt's 60V MAX 21-inch Brushless Cordless RWD Self-Propelled Lawn Mower is a testament to the advancements in electric mower technology. With its powerful performance, durable design, and user-friendly features, it is a strong contender in the lawn care market, offering a practical and eco-friendly alternative to gas mowers.
