In a significant move, New Zealand-based travel management solutions provider, Serko, has established a development hub in Bengaluru, India. This decision marks a crucial step in Serko's future growth strategy, as the city becomes an essential hub for its product innovation and development.

The announcement was made during a trade mission led by New Zealand's Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon. Prime Minister Luxon welcomed Serko's participation in the mission, viewing it as an exemplary representation of New Zealand's growing technology export sector.

Accompanying the Prime Minister on this mission is Darrin Grafton, the CEO of Serko. Grafton's presence underscores Serko's commitment to strengthening relationships in the region and exploring new avenues for collaboration.

The trade mission, aimed at enhancing business ties between New Zealand and India, has seen Serko plan to expand its presence in India. Over the coming year, the company aims to increase its employee base to around 200 in Bengaluru.

To lead the new development centre in Bengaluru, Serko has appointed Ravi Punniyamoorthy. This appointment was made during a previous trade mission to India.

Serko's participation in the trade mission is not just about strengthening existing relationships but also about exploring new opportunities. The company views India as a critical part of its future growth strategy, and this move is a testament to that vision.
