Custom paint options and direct-to-consumer brand Canyon brings boutique-style, custom-fit bicycles to Europe.

Canyon, the direct-to-consumer cycling brand, has extended its MyCanyon programme to Europe, bringing extensive customisation options to riders in the continent. The programme now allows customers to personalise their Aeroad CFR road bikes with a variety of aesthetic and functional enhancements.

The MyCanyon programme offers extensive customisation options for the Aeroad CFR, including:

  1. Custom paint and artwork options featuring three distinct collections named Fabrio, Mano, and Opus. The Opus collection includes designs from renowned artists like Elena Salmistraro and Felipe Pantone.
  2. Fit adjustments such as a variety of saddle options and stem lengths to optimise riding position for performance.
  3. Component customisation allowing customers to choose their preferred groupset, wheelsets, and tyre combinations to build their ideal bike. New wheelsets available include DT Swiss ARC 100 DiCut 55mm and Zipp 454 NSW with advanced aerodynamic rim profiles.
  4. The option of the CP0048/49 handlebar providing a lower, more compact riding position that can save up to 14 watts in aerodynamics.
  5. An interactive build experience via Canyon’s website and app, featuring 3D augmented reality that lets users visualise different paint schemes and components from multiple angles before ordering.

These options combine both aesthetic customisation and functional performance tuning, making the MyCanyon Aeroad CFR a fully personalised race bike tailored to the rider's style and fit preferences.

Previously only available in the US and Asia, the European roll-out of MyCanyon brings three stunning looking artwork collections to the table. Canyon claims savings of up to 14 watts with the new handlebar.

Traditionally, smaller custom builders have offered personalisation as a reason for customers to choose bespoke routes. However, direct-to-consumer brands have not offered much in the way of stem and handlebar options or custom paint. Canyon has joined the custom options ranks in Europe with their MyCanyon programme.

Compared to other brands like Trek and Cannondale, which offer greater levels of personalisation, custom paint, and special edition bikes, Canyon's MyCanyon programme offers a more affordable option for riders seeking a high level of customisation. In the UK, Handsling offers an almost unlimited number of paint and groupset options, but at a higher price point.

The MyCanyon customisation starts at 10,499 EUR, making it a premium offering for those seeking a truly personalised riding experience. Orbea, in the middle of the market, has offered a range of colour options, but nothing close to Trek Project One or the level of customisation offered by Canyon's MyCanyon programme.

The MyCanyon programme now extends to Europe, offering riders an opportunity to personalise their Aeroad CFR road bikes not only with performance-oriented components like the CP0_48/49 handlebar, but also with custom paint and artwork options from collections like Opus that feature designs from esteemed artists.

Unlike other brands, Canyon's MyCanyon programme provides a more affordable alternative for those seeking a high level of customisation, starting at 10,499 EUR, while still offering options like 3D augmented reality to visualise different paint schemes and components before ordering.
