Classic Video Game Making a Comeback Thanks to Innovative Technology

✌️Hey there! Take a gander at this spiffy project created by Michael Gardi – a modern rendition of a horse racing game named GEE-WIZ, originally from the swaggering 1920s! This little beauty could've fit right in at your local joint, what with its rowdy charm.

GEE-WIZ mimics a topsy-turvy dash as six steel balls charge up slopes on a whimsical playing field, bumping off horses mounted on their tracks until the winner's flag flies high. The noise you imagine? It's just like the real thing!

Building on the vintage charm, Mike focused on replicating the original's look and feel to a T. He paid special attention to the 3D-printed playing field and labels, but the heart of the game lies within its drive mechanism. In order to preserve the old-school magic, Mike reverse-engineered the flywheel and had it milled out of stainless steel. He fitted it snugly into the base with some beefy printed bearing blocks – check out the video below for the final spectacular spectacle!

Now, Mike isn't exactly a stranger to reimagining retro toys; some might argue that his Sol-20 and Minivac 601 gadgets belong in that category, too. Whether they count as toys or not, we can't help but admire the smart design and uncanny resemblance of GEE-WIZ to its ancestor! 🏇🌟🌟🌟

This project, reimagined by Michael Gardi, assembled an impressive amalgamation of technology and vintage charm with gadgets like Sol-20 and Minivac 601, bearing a striking resemblance to the original design. The heart of the game, GEE-WIZ, showcases a splendid blend of technology and antiquity, offering an immersive experience that truly echoes the racing game craze of the swashbuckling 1920s.
