CISSP Certification Now Equivalent to Master's in Cybersecurity Across Europe

The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification has been recognized as equivalent to a master's degree in cybersecurity across Europe. This move, backed by several academic recognition bodies and expert sources, positions CISSP content and skill level on par with a Master's degree. In the UK, CISSP certification is designated as comparable to Level 7 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) by UK NARIC.

The CISSP certification, offered by (ISC)², assesses a wide range of skills including organizational problem solving, decision making, and awareness of industrial standards, policy, and best practices. This recognition opens up new avenues for CISSP holders. They can now use their certification towards higher education course credit, and it may also open up job opportunities that previously required or recognized master's degrees.

The recognition applies across Europe, not just in the UK. This means CISSP certification holders can enjoy these benefits in various European countries.

The recognition of CISSP certification as equivalent to a master's degree in cybersecurity is a significant step. It acknowledges the high level of skills and knowledge attained by CISSP holders. This could lead to more opportunities for professionals in the field and potentially encourage more people to pursue CISSP certification.
