BYD Establishes German Headquarters in Offenbach's GROW Office Building

BYD, the world-leading manufacturer of electric vehicles, has chosen Offenbach's GROW office building for its German headquarters. The strategic location of the building, with direct access to motorways, public transport, and the airport, was a significant factor in BYD's decision.

The GROW office building, developed by NAS Invest and completed in 2023, offers a large space with a lease covering over 5,000 m² across multiple floors. This includes a showroom, which suits BYD's operational and sales expansion plans in Germany.

BYD's new headquarters will serve as the main base for its sales, marketing, and administrative activities in Germany. The company, which offers not only fully electric passenger cars but also buses, trucks, and battery technologies worldwide, is expanding its presence in Europe.

Offenbach, a city that has developed into an important office and service quarter in recent years, was preferred over Frankfurt. The Frankfurt-Rhine-Main marketing agency, which includes the city of Offenbach as a member, played a key role in attracting BYD to this site.

Maria Grazia Davino, SVP Regional Managing Director of BYD, expressed her pleasure at building their headquarters in the GROW. She looks forward to moving to Offenbach Kaiserlei with their team.

The settlement of BYD in the GROW is considered a milestone for the project and a further impetus for the location development at Kaiserlei. Offenbach's Mayor, Dr. Felix Schwenke, emphasized the significance of the settlement for the city. He stated that it provides good jobs for the citizens of Offenbach, particularly in sectors with a future perspective.

The GROW office building features flexible room concepts, a DGNB-Gold certification for sustainability, and a rooftop terrace with a view of the Frankfurt skyline. It is located in an area with good accessibility to the FrankfurtRhineMain metropolitan region, which also played a role in BYD's location choice.

BYD is currently the world's largest manufacturer of electric vehicles, making it a company with a future perspective. The company is planning to expand its workforce in Offenbach, with the new headquarters driving this expansion forward.

BYD has been actively expanding its dealer network in Germany since the beginning of 2023. The company is increasing its sales bases from 27 to 120 by the end of the year. The GROW at Kaiserlei, where BYD will be based, is one of the most modern office buildings in the region, comprising around 20,000 square meters of rental space.
