Brüggemann Showcases Advanced Additives at K 2025
Brüggemann, a leading global provider of additives for the plastics industry, is set to showcase its advanced capabilities at K 2025. The company focuses on metal- and halogen-free additives that enhance thermal resistance in thermoplastics while maintaining electrical and flame-retardant properties.
Brüggemann's additive portfolio includes tailored solutions for various industries, such as the electrical, electronics, and e-mobility sectors. One notable product is Bruggolen TP-H2217, a metal- and halogen-free heat stabilizer for reinforced polyamides that can withstand continuous operating temperatures of up to 170°C for 8,000 hours.
The company's additives also improve flow properties during injection molding, enabling long flow paths for complex shapes with low wall thickness, even with high percentages of reinforcing fibers. Additionally, Brüggemann offers stabilizers for cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) compounds, like Bruggolen TP-H2431, which enables T3/T4 classification for cable applications.
In 2022, Brüggemann acquired the Italian subsidiary Auserpolimeri, fully integrating it as a 100% owned subsidiary. This acquisition complements Brüggemann's high-performance additives portfolio with Auserpolimeri's expertise in chemically functionalized polymers based on polyolefins. These additives provide thermoset-like properties at high temperatures without compromising thermoplastic processability, making them useful for polyolefin foams, HFFR compounds, and cables.
At K 2025, Brüggemann will display its current capabilities in high-performance additives, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction in the plastics industry.
