Brüggemann Expands Portfolio for E-Mobility, Electrical, and Electronics Industries
Brüggemann GmbH & Co. KG, a leading provider of additives for plastics, has expanded its portfolio to cater to the growing demands of the electrical engineering, electronics, and e-mobility industries. The company's latest offerings include stabilizers for cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) compounds, enabling T3/T4 classification for cable applications.
Brüggemann's portfolio now includes additives that enhance thermal resistance in thermoplastics while maintaining electrical and flame-retardant properties. These metal- and halogen-free additives are designed to improve flow properties during injection molding of thermoplastics for lightweight designs with high percentages of reinforcing fibers.
In 2022, the company developed and marketed new solutions specifically for e-mobility. The metal- and halogen-free heat stabilizer Bruggolen TP-H2217 enhances the continuous operating temperature of reinforced polyamides to 170°C for up to 8,000 hours. Additionally, Bruggolen TP-H2431, another heat stabilizer, is designed for XLPE cable applications, meeting the increased demands for heat resistance, flame retardancy, and electrical properties in electric drives, battery systems, and charging infrastructure.
Brüggemann also expanded its portfolio through the acquisition and integration of the Italian subsidiary Auserpolimeri, which specializes in functionalized polymers. This move allows the company to offer tailored solutions for various industries, including heat stabilizers for reinforced polyamides with a continuous operating temperature of 170°C for up to 8,000 hours.
With these new offerings, Brüggemann continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and sustainability in the plastics industry. The company's expanded portfolio now includes solutions that enhance recycled materials to match the performance of virgin materials, further supporting the circular economy.
