Bitcoin Forum Bayern 2024 Draws Thousands, Plans for 2025 Expansion

The second Bitcoin Forum Bayern in Ingolstadt drew a substantial crowd, both in-person and online, reflecting a growing interest in Bitcoin. Around 400 guests visited the exhibition and side-event area, while nearly 900 watched the live stream. The event, organized by the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, was a resounding success, with plans already underway for a larger event in 2025.

The forum, held at the Ingolstadt Saturn Arena, attracted many first-time attendees, creating a fresh and engaged atmosphere. Speakers included notable figures such as Blocktrainer founder, journalist Niko Jilch, wallet expert Roland 'Stadicus' Stadler, and author Joe Martin, among other experts. The event was smoothly organized, informative, and notably, allowed payment with BTC via Lightning.

The success of the event has led to plans for a larger event in the same venue on October 10 and 11, 2025. The Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank aims to establish the Bitcoin Forum as a regular fixture in the Bitcoin event calendar in the DACH region. Exhibitors also found success, with busy stands answering questions and selling products. A total of 1,571 registered participants from the DACH region attended the event across seven formats, with a high ratio actively following presentations.

The second Bitcoin Forum Bayern in Ingolstadt has demonstrated the growing interest and engagement in Bitcoin within the DACH region. The event's success has paved the way for a larger event in 2025, further cementing its place in the Bitcoin event calendar.
