BER airport expects to resume normal operations by Monday following a cyberattack that caused significant disruptions at several European airports over the weekend. A suspect was arrested in the UK last Wednesday in connection with the incident.

The cyberattack affected BER, Brussels, London, and Dublin airports. Many flights were cancelled at Brussels as a result. Collins Aerospace, which provides the central check-in system, aims to restore it by Sunday, October 5. After the system is back online, BER's IT department will conduct extensive security tests. Airlines will reconnect to the system gradually from Monday.

BER airport anticipates returning to normal operation by Monday following the cyberattack. A suspect was arrested in the UK but later released on bail. Security measures will be enhanced after the system restoration.
