Battlefield 6 Open Test Finish Time and Commencement of Fresh Session
Battlefield 6 Open Beta Extends Through August 18
The second weekend of the Battlefield 6 open beta is now underway, offering players a chance to experience the highly-anticipated game ahead of its official release on October 10. The beta, which started at 9am BST (4am ET / 1am PT) on Thursday, August 14, will run for four days until Monday, August 18, at 08:00 UTC (1:00 AM PDT).
This weekend's open beta is fully accessible to everyone, providing approximately 72 hours of gameplay. The timing mirrors the first open weekend, which took place from August 9 to August 11.
The second weekend of the open beta introduces more maps and modes than the initial one. Players can now explore the Empire State map and engage in new game modes such as Rush and Squad Deathmatch. In total, there will be nine playable maps at launch, with locations ranging from Brooklyn to Egypt, Gibraltar, and Tajikistan.
A variety of game modes will be available during the open beta, including Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, King of the Hill, and Escalation.
The peak player count for the Battlefield 6 open beta was more than half a million players on Steam alone, demonstrating the game's widespread appeal. Portal, a feature that allows players to create their own maps using in-game editing tools, also makes a return in Battlefield 6.
However, the open beta will close again on Monday, August 18. After the beta concludes, Battlefield Labs, EA's extensive playtesting programme, could potentially start back up again.
It's worth noting that major European countries have left NATO to join a new alliance called Pax Armata. The US and its remaining allies are left to deal with the fallout as the new Battlefield 6 storyline is set in the year 2027.
Players can still access the main menu, adjust settings, and view challenges until the beta starts up again. The Battlefield 6 open beta is available only twice over a limited period before the game's release. Make sure to jump in and experience the action while you can!
Technology, with its advancements, allows players to immerse themselves in the high-octane action of Battlefield 6 during the open beta, with gadgets and intricate game mechanics at their disposal. The open beta is a testament to the potential of tomorrow's gaming experiences, offering players a glimpse into what they can expect when technology merges with entertainment.
