According to recent user sentiment and player counts, the top three Battlefield games among fans are Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, and Battlefield 5.

Battlefield 3 and 4, which followed Battlefield 2142, Battlefield 2042, and the free-to-play Battlefield Heroes, are often cited as favourites by veteran players who started with these titles. Battlefield 4, in particular, is considered by many fans as the "best Battlefield game of all time" due to its solid multiplayer balance and engaging gameplay experiences.
