Battery Pioneer Dr. Soonho Ahn Joins Elevated Materials' Board
Elevated Materials, a TPG Rise Climate portfolio company focused on accelerating the low-carbon economy, has appointed Dr. Soonho Ahn to its Board of Directors. Dr. Ahn brings over three decades of leadership and technical expertise in battery science and engineering.
Dr. Ahn's impressive career includes executive roles at PowerCo, Apple Inc., Samsung SDI, and LG Chem. Most recently, he served as CTO and board member at PowerCo. At Apple, he led battery development as the Global Head of Battery Developments. His work has been instrumental in shaping technologies powering electric vehicles, consumer electronics, and grid storage.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ahn has commercialized key industry innovations such as magnetically oriented graphite anodes and NMC cathodes. With over 240 international patents to his name, he is a respected voice in battery science.
