In the realm of space exploration, two artificial intelligence (AI) systems, ChatGPT and Wukong AI, are making waves with their efficiency and support for complex operations and troubleshooting.

For the first time, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has publicly disclosed the growth in ChatGPT's popularity. The AI system, which processes around 30,000 messages every second worldwide, has seen a significant increase in its daily interaction volume. In the U.S. alone, over 330 million messages are exchanged with ChatGPT daily. Globally, the daily interaction volume has surpassed 2.5 billion messages, marking a 2.5 times growth compared to December 2024 when 1 billion requests were recorded.

While ChatGPT is making headlines for its global reach, Wukong AI, an intelligent question-and-answer system developed by the Hangzhou-based startup DeepSeek, is making a name for itself on China’s orbital space station "Tianhe". The AI assistant, named Wukong AI, has been working in orbit for a month, providing quick and accurate support through data processing based on scenarios, optimization methods, and customizable search strategies.

The three astronauts on "Tianhe" completed their third spacewalk, and Wukong AI received positive feedback from the crew of the "Shenzhou XX" mission. Wukong AI's unique feature lies in its combination of terrestrial and space models. The terrestrial model provides deep analysis, while the orbital model solves critical and complex tasks, making it an invaluable asset for space missions.

Despite the growing interaction volume of ChatGPT, there is no direct comparison or correlation with Wukong AI's functions or capabilities. The interaction volume of ChatGPT does not provide specific feedback or comments from the crew of the "Shenzhou XX" mission regarding Wukong AI.

ChatGPT, meanwhile, is not only assisting with complex operations but also increasing work efficiency, providing psychological support in orbit, and coordinating between space and ground teams. Its functions have been reported by crew members as quick and efficient, aiding in various aspects of space missions.

As these AI systems continue to evolve and adapt, they are set to play increasingly important roles in the future of space exploration.
