Arx Robotics boosts Series A funding to €42 million
Arx Robotics, a Munich-based company founded by former officers of the German Armed Forces, has announced an expansion of its Series A financing round, securing an additional €11 million in capital. This funding will accelerate the scaling of existing structures and the establishment of new manufacturing sites in Europe, as stated by Marc Wietfeld, Founder and CEO of Arx Robotics.
The strategy of Arx Robotics focuses on digitizing and networking heavy combat vehicles in European land forces. The company is developing modular Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) for flexible multi-mission use, powered by Mithra OS for autonomous operation and software-defined defense.
The Series A financing round expansion is being led by early-stage investor Speedinvest, with HV Capital also participating again. Arx Robotics had previously raised a €31 million euro round.
The mission of Arx Robotics is to develop intelligent, autonomous ground systems for modern military applications. The company is focusing on software-driven systems with high integration capabilities.
This new funding will enable Arx Robotics to expand its manufacturing capacity in Europe to ensure technological sovereignty, cost-efficiency, and rapid production aligned with European security and reindustrialisation goals. The company is also growing an interdisciplinary team, particularly through experts in AI, software architecture, system integration, and specialists from the European automotive industry.
Arx Robotics has formed strategic partnerships, such as with RENK Group AG, to enhance mobility technology integration and access established industrial and international defense markets. This collaboration aims to enable rapid, cost-efficient production and deployment of intelligent, autonomous platforms across European armed forces.
Andreas Schwarzenbrunner, General Partner at Speedinvest, stated that Arx Robotics is strategically positioned to strengthen Europe's defense capability and technological sovereignty. Arx Robotics' systems are already in use in several European armies, including Ukraine.
Partnerships with companies such as Daimler and Renk are intended to further accelerate industrial scaling. The company is focusing on personnel expansion, especially through experts in AI, software architecture, system integration, and specialists from the European automotive industry.
With this expansion strategy, Arx Robotics is positioning itself as a key player in the modernization and digitisation of European land forces, delivering sovereign, scalable, and integrated autonomous combat vehicle solutions aligned with geopolitical demands in Europe.
