Apple Car Rumors: Cutting-Edge Tech, 2025-2027 Launch

Apple's rumoured electric vehicle, the Apple Car, is expected to feature cutting-edge technology, including LiDAR for enhanced AI capabilities. The tech giant is reportedly in talks with chip foundries like Samsung and TSMC for automotive-grade processes.

TSMC, which currently manufactures Apple's C1 cellular modem chip, is believed to be developing a 7nm automotive-grade process. Meanwhile, Samsung has already developed the Exynos Auto V9 SoC on its 8nm process. The C1 chip, expected to power the Apple Car, could bear similarities to the A12 Bionic chip and be manufactured by TSMC, incorporating in-cabin AI features like eye-tracking.

Reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shed light on the Apple Car's launch timeline. He predicts that the vehicle may not hit the market until 2025-2027, citing uncertainties about launch timing, supplier and vehicle specifications, and Apple's competitiveness in the electric vehicle and self-driving car market.

The Apple Car's launch is anticipated to bring advanced technology to the automotive industry. However, potential challenges and a delayed timeline indicate a cautious approach by Apple in this new venture.
