Amazon Revives Luna Cloud Gaming with 50+ Games, New Social Features
Amazon is reviving its cloud gaming platform, Luna, later this year. The relaunched service will offer a curated library of over 50 games, including AAA titles and a new social gaming section called GameNight, featuring family-friendly, couch-friendly games playable with just a smartphone.
Luna's games will be playable on devices like Fire TV Stick, compatible Smart TVs, or tablets without requiring a console. A Luna Premium subscription will be available for purchase, offering additional big-name titles such as EA Sports FC 25, Team Sonic Racing, and Batman: Arkham Knight.
The relaunched Luna will offer a curated library of over 50 games, including AAA titles like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Hogwarts Legacy, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, for free to all Prime subscribers. Amazon is also developing games for a new social-oriented section called Social Party Game Section, focusing on party games and shared gaming experiences.
The new social gaming section, GameNight, will launch with exclusive titles like Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg and optimized versions of popular board/card games like Exploding Kittens and Clue. A Bluetooth controller will be required for playing games from the main library, but not for those on GameNight. The revamped Luna aims to expand Amazon's Prime offering and provide a more social gaming experience.
