All33's Innovative Chairs Impress Sharks, but No Deal Secured
All33, a innovative chair company, recently sought investment on Shark Tank. The company, founded by Dr. Dennis Colonello and Jim Grove, impressed Sharks with their patented sit-in motion technology but failed to secure a deal.
Bing Howenstein, a 5% owner and self-proclaimed entrepreneur, represented All33 on the show. He pitched for a $500,000 investment in exchange for 2.5% equity. To demonstrate the chairs' superiority, Howenstein dramatically broke a wooden chair, contrasting it with the durability of All33's product. He also played an endorsement video from Justin Bieber, highlighting the chairs' appeal to celebrities.
The chairs, priced at $20 million, use a unique technology that engages all 33 vertebrae, mimicking the motion of walking. This feature, along with the chairs' comfort and support, aims to reduce backache issues. Despite the Sharks' interest in the technology, none made an offer, leaving Howenstein empty-handed. All33, however, continues to thrive with $4 million in annual revenue and a loyal customer base.
Although All33 didn't secure a Shark Tank deal, the company's innovative chairs and growing customer base indicate a strong market presence. With its patented technology and celebrity endorsements, All33 continues to make waves in the furniture industry.
