Sony's PlayStation Studios is expanding its horizon, bringing a growing number of its games to PC platforms. The strategy, which has been in place for several years, aims to balance exclusivity with reaching wider audiences over time.

Many PlayStation Studios games that are ported to PC receive dedicated PS5 DualSense support, enhancing the gaming experience for PC players. This is evident in the recent releases of games like Helldivers 2, The Last of Us Part 1, and Marvel's Spider-Man.

Single-player exclusives, such as The Last of Us Part 1, typically come to PC about six months after their console launch, though some delays can be longer. For instance, God of War (2018) and Horizon Zero Dawn were released on PC several months to over a year after their PlayStation debut.

Live service games, on the other hand, are often launched on console and PC simultaneously to maximize player bases. This approach is evident in games like Concord, a first-person multiplayer shooter, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

Sony is also expanding its porting strategy to include Xbox and Nintendo platforms, though this move is still in its early stages. Games like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection are now available on PC, and more ports are expected in the coming years.

Notable upcoming releases include The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, scheduled for April 3, 2025, and Stellar Blade, set to launch in June 2025. Additionally, LEGO Horizon Adventures, an upcoming game co-developed by Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo, is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on Nov. 15, 2024.

Players can enjoy PlayStation Studios games across a variety of hardware, including the Steam Deck, custom Windows PC, or gaming laptops. With the increasing number of games being ported to PC, Sony's strategy seems to be paying off, allowing more players to experience these beloved games.
